Well, we’ve done it again!

In 2023, we were #3652 on the list, and this year we climbed to spot #2699.

Scrappy’s Success Formula

We define the word “Scrappy” as the spirit of following our dreams and creating something remarkable from humble beginnings.

Wondering how we achieved such rapid growth over a few short years?

Well, it took 15 years prior to that for us to get where we are today… and to say that journey was “hard” is a severe understatement.

However, every challenge we faced served as a learning opportunity. We’ve been able to apply those lessons and improve our solutions every single year.

The Origin Story

Our founders, Chris and Grant, had big dreams from the very beginning.

Despite having promising corporate careers ahead of them, both felt a pull toward something deeper—an entrepreneurial adventure of their own.

In 2006, a pivotal conversation ignited the idea that would lead to the birth of Scrappy Apparel Company.

The initial four years were an uphill battle marked by relentless dedication and sacrifice. Chris and Grant pressed every single shirt themselves, juggling side jobs such as coaching, bartending, waiting tables, and valet parking to fund their venture.

In the startup years, they reinvested every penny back into the business. “Work Hard and Hustle” became a mantra that encapsulated their resilience during challenging times.

Through networking and persistent effort, they tackled various projects that bolstered their growth: launching Scrappy Music to support independent musicians, designing and selling t-shirts for the North Coast Music Festival, and hosting “Scrappy Hours” with local bands and breweries in Atlanta.

With each passing year, they expanded their network to include the best vendors, suppliers, and craftsmen around the world.

With enterprise-level resources at their fingertips, Scrappy became one of the top manufacturers in the apparel industry.

But the growth didn’t stop there.

After making the Inc. 5000 list in 2023, we expanded our fulfillment solutions to offer our clients even more support across their supply chains.

By solving more problems for our partners, we accelerated our growth—and that earned us spot #2699 on the 2024 Inc. 5000 list.
